I can honestly say we are never getting food here again. Sadly, the cooks either got sick of cooking, or they hired a dirty raccoon as their head chef.
This place makes it to my families "top 3" restaurants in the area. It is incredibly well managed and the baked scrod is second to none...
Wanted to try out this place, could be a new pub home for us, but not so much. First off, the service was very good, no fault there, The burgers we had were also very good, The thing that we could not get over was the disgusting dirty filthy environment. The table we were seated at had so much garbage under it that we just moved. There was a kid roaming around with a t-shirt that said "Staff" but it should have said "Stiff" because he did absolutely nothing. There were at least two other employees that had no functions that were walking around doing nothing.The fries could have been very good, they were cooked properly, but when you cook fish and fries in the same oil and maybe don't ever change it, fishy fries. We tried this place once, but once will do.
We've been getting food here for years, It was always a top pick out of all the local places. Within the past 6 months however, the quality of the food has become similar to a fast food joint. You know those burgers you have such high hopes for, but you open it up and its 2 crushed soggy buns, barely cooked chicken, and one sorry excuse of a lettuce leaf? My fiancé got sick last month after eating a salmon dinner there, and tonight we ordered a pizza and some chicken wings. The wings were alright, but the pizza was something out of a horror show. It looked like a flat, half cooked tortilla with a spoonful of canned sauce. In the middle of the burnt satanic circle was a pile of raw "veggies". We had 3 pieces before throwing it away in disgust..
My first time here. We both ordered fried clams with bellies, french fries and onion rings. The server was personable, friendly and efficient. The clams and fries we great. The onion rings were the best I have ever had. They were very crispy on the outside and inside, the onion was well cooked but meaty. (Most places slice the onions so thin that it melts away to practically nothing when fried.) Our plates were piled high with food. Neither one of us could finish our dinners. Since it is a sports bar it is a bit noisy.
The staff are very good, and the atmosphere is great. We had the breakfast buffet, and we were very happy with it. We will be coming again.
