The salon is in a location not 'next' to anything but a park and a few houses.
Mind your P's and Q's and you should be okay.
That's not a bad area...if you were to compare other areas in the city. It's in the "Weir (street) neighborhood. It's a family community with elementary school, firestation, restaurants and laundry nearby. The only thing "bad" about the 'area' may be the bar (Atlantic Cafe) but they are all regulars there---at least appears to be regulars as the same cars are parked there and it's mostly 40+ crowd that walks in / out.
